We've been making Pulsar P3 replacement modules for 8+ years. Now we're getting ready to release a kit that allows you to repair your P3 with zero hassle and no need to ship your watch anywhere!
A new module, a replicated display using the latest LED's. A new battery (no spacers required!) and finally, no need to solder in old school magnetic relays. The new module uses state of the art Hall effect sensors. Simply unscrew the back of your watch using the included case wrench, remove the old module, add the included battery into the new module, drop the new module in, replace the back and you're done! No need to send your watch to anyone for service. Oh yeah, did we mention the new battery will operate for over 3 years between replacements? Assuming you use your watch like Time Computer originally suggested.
We're still evaluating prototypes.
So when's it going to happen? Within the next several months. How much for the kit? $250 + free shipping in the U.S..
BTW- The picture to the right shows one of our earliest watch replacement modules (yeah, it's missing a reed switch. The module was used for verifying the Hall effect sensor design )
